"Grateful"

This is my latest finish.  "Grateful" is 36x50 baby quilt and is made of Kona cotton and some random batiks.  

                              

It is machine pieced and hand quilted using perle cotton thread #12. 

The bear is hand embroidered.  Its body is filled with french knots and the collar and paws are filled with satin stiches.

                                 

At the last minute, I remembered that I should label the quilt, and came up with this using a scrap that just happened to be in front of me when the idea hit.

"Grateful" took about 51 hours to complete.  The bear alone took 25 hours.
